History in the making
At the end of 2019 we were in the process of acquiring a shopfront and rental space for our new Head Office in Midrand and the COVID Pandemenic had just started it's beginnings in Mainland China.The Business decided that January,February and March 2020 was a quite period for trade as customer spending was usually minimal due to statistics and market trends showing Christmas and Holiday spend in December and then Back to School spend in January.We decided to take occupation of said premises at the end of March and then open in the 2nd week in April.
A National lockdown began on 22 March 2020.Most South Africans went into panic buying with groceries and essentials as the Covid Pandemic made Landfall in SA.A National Lockdown prevented Buytech4u from Signing into business lease at the end of March that year.Market trends saw SMME Business's closing as there was no longer foot traffic with this COVID National Lockdown in place.The Business went back to the drawing board and market trends found that Customers were now forced to make their purchases online and this platform became a Billion Rand trading point almost overnight.
The Business thought of different names that would capture the hearts of South Africans and have an "UBUNTU' and south African meaning that could and would become a household name when bringing to mind one considers making of an online purchase.

WIREWIRE means in the African culture NonStop or excitement and/or emotions related to excitement found in when eg... like rushing in a crowded Sale to get the best and latest sneakers at your NIKE or ADDIDAS factory outlet and pay next to nothing for the product
BUYTECH4U went live with it's Business in early February 2021 with its Online Business Portal www.wirewire.co.za
